June Industry Pick - The Shimmer Twins

Each month a venerated figure from the world of comedy casts their gaze over the shows on Comedy Crowd TV and picks their favourite. In June it was the turn of Claire Nosworthy, former BBC producer and creative director of 'Hare and Tortoise Productions'.

Claire looked at the shows in the 'character' category and her winner was 'The Shimmer Twins' by Peter Rugman and Emma Lundegaard.

Announcing her winner, Claire Nosworthy said: "Wonderfully unnerving characters who feel distressingly real. Not since Ralph McTell has folk music been so disturbingly compelling"

Peter Rugman responded:

"We're so honoured to have been viewed and selected by Claire.

We were inspired to create The Shimmer Twins by a mutual love of dark character comedy. Our goal has always been to create a unique comedy experience leaving the audience feeling unnerved, amused and possibly moved.

We currently have plans to release a few more short videos this Autumn/Winter with a view to attracting new collaborators and creating a live Fringe show."
