FORMAT: 30' serialzed narrative comedy

#MENTAL is a bittersweet comedy about prejudice, mental illness and finding who your mates really are or perhaps finding 'family' in an unconventional way. It also wants to make the quite serious point that NUTS IS NORMAL - as episode one explains!

COLLABORATION NEEDS: So far I have been making this virtually solo and acting as producer/dirtector/actor/dop sometimes! The lot. I have a lot of footage beyond the teaser but not a full 30' pilot nor a full 6x6' web series. The video clip above is a proof of concept for a short film version/TV series and possibly micro budget feature. I'd love to find a producer to help me navigate funding bodies for the latter but also DOP/sound and post people plus other actors. I have been shooting on my phone - the excellent S9plus - though now I'm sure bettered by the 10 and lateset Samsung - but the quality is superb and it makes it super easy to shoot on the fly and guerilla style. Right now I need to find a small team to help literally hold the camera! AND a teenage mixed race actress with great acting/comedy chops, preferably a Bristol/west country accent and to shoot scenes set in a toilet of a hospital ward - so an office loo or similar would work with 2 stalls next to each other - and a few more scenes to make a coherent pilot of 30' TV series and several eps of web series version.
