SCRIPT REVIEWERS WANTED: Season Two

Hi there Comedy Crowders,

We’re working on scripts for our second season and we’d love to get your support to make them as funny and impactful as possible.

Drop me a line asap at: Matthewhrharris@hotmail.com if you’d be willing to share feedback on a couple of scripts in the next few weeks. UNPAID- this is a passion project with a very limited budget!

Here’s an outline for Season Two (titles are provisional). Let me know if you’re interested in any specific episodes.

Fitness (by Natalie Anson-Wright)

CYNDI sets the team targets to improve their wellbeing.  They rise to her challenge by fair means and foul.

Streaming (by Reese Morgenstern)

Georgia builds the team’s fanbase by streaming a Theme Park gaming competition. CYNDI sends a plague of bad weather, difficult customers and health and safety inspections.

Making Repairs (by Brad Holcombe)

Disaster strikes when CYNDI starts breaking down, just as the players need her most.  But, as the team tries to fix her, suspicions mount that one of them is responsible.

Trust (by Conleth McVeigh)

Edmund gets the team to pull off the ultimate heist in their VR game, but Georgia needs to pull off a burglary of her own, from Edmund and Tony’s dorm room!

Growing up (by Kevin Latimer)

Edmund and Tony battle it out to see who can be the best mentor, by coaching Georgia and Andy to win a fighting game grudge match.

Fear (by Nic Czerniuk)

CYNDI tries to toughen the players up, by brutally traumatising them with their deepest fears. But soon she finds she has a rebellion on her hands.

Packing (by Calvin Peat)

The big day arrives and the players are fighting over what to pack for the tournament. But CYNDI has a final Tetris challenge that they need to pack in before they fly.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Our heroes are playing to set a record in a fruit munching game. But will their own food needs get in the way of their gaming?

This one is probably my favourite episode, with some great retrogaming graphics and some fantastic ‘chiptune’ music.  I hope you enjoy it.

We are looking for :

We’d love to assemble a team of writers to work together on our second season. If you want to write for a sitcom that actually gets made then come and join our writers room for A Comedy of Gamers.

As we prep for Season Two we'd be very happy to talk to any directors, producers or editors who are interested in helping make the show.

We'd also appreciate any help or advice with marketing and social media as we get Season One ready for a full launch from March.

And finally, if anyone would like to help us experiment with a laughter track we'd love to hear from you.

Our budget is tiny and all roles are unpaid so best suited to collaborators like us who want to work with great people and get better at making great content.

We welcome collaborators from all backgrounds. Our team is committed to being: supportive, creative, inclusive, professional and flexible. Please drop us a line if you’d like to know more.

Hi, just procrastination and came across you guys saying you had a virtual writers room starting today (25/11). If possible, could I still get in on that? Writer and keen gamer - had to take my VR headset off to write this. Louiseatkinsoncomedy@gmail.com
