Have you ever wondered what your beautician's thinking whilst she waxes your pubes? Is that story she's telling really about a bat, or is it a metaphor for something else flappy, smelly and wrinkled?

Beauteh follows Lola, a training beautician from Leicester, as she waxes, plucks and files her friends' body parts from the comfort of her bedroom. Will she stop talking for two minutes to become a qualified beautician?

Shot on a phone and mainly using POV, Beauteh explores the weird and wonderful things we think whilst we're exposing ourselves in uncomfortable ways, and how our thoughts differ to what we say. I plan to use this style to show snippets of Lola with different friends in the compromising positions that are so normal for beauticians.
