I would like to develop Postman as a short webseries; I already have story arcs, more villains and even an Origins story written already. Similarly to Postman, the three minute film, I'd use a small crew with a focus on lighting, production design and a flair for creative screenwork, edited in the same fun, tongue in cheek style. I'd like to explore the man behind the mask, Peter Forester (A forester being slightly bigger than a parker).

The series would spoof all sorts of superhero tropes, which I think would go great with audiences as we reach the crescendo of the Marvel Universe. I love writing comedies that take a loved genre and completely subverts the conventions of said genre. The superhero segments of the film would be larger than life, fight scenes done well but comedically, taking inspiration from Shane Black films and the work of Jackie Chan. Each episode would have its own absurd story with a dedicated villain. One episode introduces Greyscale, a nemesis who makes the world greyscale and robs Postman of his powers, leaving a Noir Postman to use his intelligence and detective skills to save the day and regain his powers of Super-Quick Origami, shooting stamps from his hands, and Magneto style telekenesis but only with paper. The more funding the better the series could be, though I still think a high quality product centered around a whitty script can be made on a relatively low budget; we made Postman for £300, and I still have the costume and props. It would be great to be able to get proper lighting, a small camera team, a quality AD etc, but I know a lot of ambitious filmmakers and talented actors through my connections to Bristol University, National Youth Film Academy, NYT and the BFI Film Academy, and would thoroughly enjoy producing the project and setting up this team to do the Postman series to a high standard.
