Monkey Brains Comedy

What's it all about

Monkey Brains Comedy is a sketch based show. Formulas include stream of conciousness and outrageous situations. It's Monty Python meats Fast Show. Every episode and sketch has a loose theme that is in turn a joke. For example, Tristan McAlister plays every character on the show.

This is surprisingly seemless. The process is this, Tristan writes it based around improv, takes a week and shoots it on a C100, then edits it in a small apartment.

Four episodes have been filmed, and six scripts have yet to be shot but are planned to start after the holidays.

The whole idea is to make comedy for the sake of comedy and nothing more. Besides keeping sane in everyday life.

FUNDRAISING

I do most of the show by myself which is part of the joke. However, it can get quite exausting as most of the time I'd like to focus on my acting for certain sketches. That being said, help doesn't come for free. I would like to be able to pay someone to shoot the show, or buy them food at least as well as branch out and get more props like mustaches, wigs, ect.

As of right now it's a one man team/one man show. All written, directed, scored, and shot by Tristan McAlister.

As of right now, I have people that help me with cinematogrophy when they can. I would hope in the future to evolve Monkey Brains into something other than just myself, though acting as every character is a part of the joke, it can get exausting.

I would love to pull in writers, actors, and cinematogrophers at some point.
